Inkpad Path Menu – Text

The final two commands in the Path menu are applied specifically to text objects created with the Text tool.

Create Outlines from Text

With a text object selected Create Outlines from Text will covert each separate letter into an individual path. The appearance of the text will not change, but it will now become fully editable as a vector object and some letters will become compound paths.

Place Text on Path

With a text object and a single vector path selected, Place Text on path will hide all styling options applied to the path, such as fill and stroke colour, and place the text along the shape of the path.

Alternatively if you create only a path and use Place Text on Path the text editor will appear allowing you to add your text directly to the selected path.
